Bio: Only the foray is on the former Roman road Via Ragusa, along which many Roman gravestones can be seen today. It is not known when raised, as sources are mentioned only in the mid-XV century (1448. and 1454) as the border fortress of Stefan Vukcic Kosače towards the despotic of Serbia, and the Ottoman passenger, Evlija Chelebija, cited 1622. From the era of Nemanjic and that it was destroyed in the time of the Ottoman conquest of that part of the Balkans, the rise on which the fortress was raised, is high 698 m nmv. and its rocky edges prevent access to its top from north and west, while the east is the edge of Lima. Thanks to this natural position, Kovin could practically only approach the Southwest and much more difficult from the southeast, on which today has the remains of the Bedema. The hillside that is dropping towards the river is visible to several of the rusty plateau, between which are the stairs carved in the rocks. In the village of Izbičanj, a few hundred metres from Kovingrad, only a rock from the 6th District was found. and the writing in Latin literally says: All of this, with a lot of effort raised by you watching, bemonds, temples, houses, fountains, stout, atrium, bathrooms-all with the help of Christ, in a few years, he raises Bishop Stefan for the governments of the Emperor Justiana. Below the rigid is the sulphur source and the remnants of ceramics that are presumed to be the remains of the water supply. South of the fortress (in the distance of about half a kilometer) there is a Neolithic era of antiquity and Middle Ages, while northwest of it is a site belonging to the Vinca culture.
